TikTok growth research

TikTok rewards watch-time. Everything else is secondary.

The For You Page algorithm optimizes for completion rate and replay. Engagement services only help when they preserve the watch-time ratios TikTok uses to decide what to boost.

The research

Why watch-time dominates the FYP.

TikTok has been unusually open about its ranking signals in its Transparency Center: watch-time, completion rate, rewatch rate, shares, and — at a distance — likes and comments. The FYP uses a narrow initial test pool (a few hundred accounts matched to your video's subject), measures completion rate, and scales distribution based on that ratio. A video with 500 real viewers who watch to completion will outperform 50,000 who scroll past.

This is why bought TikTok views that don't watch are not just worthless — they actively hurt. They pad the denominator in the completion ratio. A provider delivering 10,000 impressions from headless browsers that render the video but never play it drops your completion rate and signals to TikTok that distribution should slow.

Providers that work on TikTok deliver through real session-based traffic — actual users on real devices who play the video at least partially. These are harder to supply and priced accordingly.

FAQ

TikTok — common questions.

Will bought TikTok views hurt my FYP reach?
Low-quality ones will. If views don't watch, they dilute your completion ratio, and the FYP uses that ratio to decide how wide to push the next batch of distribution.
Are TikTok likes and followers still useful to buy?
Less than on Instagram. TikTok's algorithm is video-level, not profile-level, so follower count contributes to discovery only weakly. Likes help social proof but don't move the FYP needle nearly as much as watch-time.
