This policy explains what information Stormlikes (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit stormlikes.net (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be specific about why we hold anything we do.

Information you provide
If you contact us by email or submit a form on the Site, we receive the information you send — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use it only to respond and keep a record of the correspondence.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page, standard server logs record your IP address, user-agent string, the page requested, referring URL, and timestamp. We use this information to operate the Site, diagnose issues, and protect against abuse.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and platforms are most useful to readers. The analytics we use do not set cross-site tracking cookies and do not collect personally identifying information.
Error monitoring
We use Sentry (sentry.io), an error-monitoring service, to capture and diagnose application errors. Sentry receives only technical information about errors — exception type, stack trace, browser/OS strings, and the page where the error occurred. We disable Sentry's default collection of personally identifying information: we do not send IP addresses, cookies, request headers, query-string parameters, or user identifiers, and we do not use session replay. If Sentry is disabled in a given environment, no data is transmitted at all.
2. Cookies
The Site uses a small number of cookies:
- Session cookies — used only in the admin area to keep signed-in editors authenticated. They are not set for regular visitors.
- Preference cookies — remember choices you make, like dismissing a banner or selecting a theme. These are first-party and expire after a reasonable period.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will continue to work without them.
3. Affiliate links
Some outbound links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination provider may set their own cookie to credit us with a referral if you make a purchase. We do not receive your payment information, name, or any account details — only whether a referral converted. See our affiliate disclosure for specifics.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:

5. Sharing

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging purposes. Correspondence is retained as long as necessary to handle the matter and any follow-up. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS everywhere and limited administrative access. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
